As part of the ILLIANCE Agenda, the University of Aveiro organized, on November 21st, in collaboration with CTCV - Center for Technology and Innovation and the Portuguese Society of Materials, the Workshop "Industrial Symbiosis in the Ceramic Sector - Solid Waste".

The event aimed to discuss and promote sustainable solutions for the transformation of solid waste into valuable resources, with a special focus on the ceramic and cement industries. During the session, it was explored how innovation can boost efficiency in the use of resources, reduce environmental impacts and contribute to the transition to a Circular Economy.

This initiative is part of the research activities of the project "High Thickness Ceramic Flooring with high incorporation of recycled materials and optimized surface properties", the result of the collaboration between the University of Aveiro and Revigres, in the context of the ILLIANCE Agenda.
