Ana Margarida Gonçalves and Filipe Rebelo, both from the University of Aveiro, took part in the IBPC 2024 conference with the oral communication of Paper ID210 - "Dynamic shading device with phase change materials: a proof-of-concept towards improving thermal comfort" and ID211 - "Thermal and energy performances of a radiant floor system incorporating phase change materials".
This conference took place at Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada, between 25 and 27 July 2024.
The main aim of these presentations was to publicise the results of WP 4 - Project #28 "Passive House Solutions" of the ILLIANCE Agenda, namely on the themes of radiant floors and dynamic façades. To this end, as well as presenting the two projects, the trip also included a working meeting with the team from the building physics group at Toronto Metropolitan University, which has been working on dynamic façades. The meeting also included a technical visit to the experimental facilities, which include two full-scale test cells. These initiatives took place as part of WP 4 - Project #28 ‘Passive House Solutions’.
