In this context, several papers were presented by the University of Aveiro co-promoter:
- The poster ‘Optical Fiber Sensing Design to Simultaneously Monitor Relative Humidity and Temperature’ by the authors Tiago Amaral, Lucca Matuck, Jörg Bierlich, Marta Ferreira, and Micael Nascimento.
The aim of this work was to develop a fibre optic sensor for simultaneously monitoring relative humidity and temperature, using a hybrid design of an FPI and FBG. The sensor has sensitivities of 41.46 pm/%RH and -30.52 pm/ºC for the FP cavity. Since the FBG is only sensitive to temperature, with a sensitivity of 9.44 pm/ºC, it is possible to carry out dual-parameter detection and use the matrix method of sensitivities to discriminate between both variables." This work is part of the activities of WP 4 - Project #24 ‘OLIWPT’.
- The oral communication ‘Non-intrusive monitoring of vital signs in the lower limbs using optical sensors’, with the authors Joana R. Simões, Regina G. Oliveira, Pedro M. M. Correia, Florinda M. Costa, Cátia S. J. Leitão and Ana Luísa M. Silva. Part of the activities of WP 4 - Project #20 ‘OLI Health’.
- The poster "Volatile Organic Compounds Sensor Based on Chitosan-Coated Multimode Interferometer." by the authors JM Leça, MC Oliveira, FM Costa from i3N e Departamento de Física, Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal, AJS Teixeira from IEETA, Departamento de Eletrónica, Telecomunicações e Informática, Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal, MS Ferreira from i3N e Departamento de Física, Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal. This work is part of the activities of WP 4 - Proj. #20 "OLI Health".
- The poster “Optical deflectometry-based surface inspection system for combustion device covers” by the authors Rodrigo Rito, Ana M. Rocha, João Silva, José Santos, António Completo, Nuno Lau, Ângela Semitela, Diogo Costa, José Oliveira, Luis Rino, Paulo Antunes. This work is part of the activities of WP 2 - Proj. #12 "Equipamentos de combustão com H2".
