This symposium took place in Venice, Italy, between 15 and 19 June, and was attended by António Alexandre da Cunha Bastos from the University of Aveiro, who presented the poster ‘Galvanic interactions of copper with oxide films and differential temperature’ by authors A. Bastos, M. Santos and J. Tedim, with the aim of presenting the results obtained within the scope of the ILLIANCE project and discussing these results, as well as providing an opportunity to establish contacts with groups working in the same area and studying the same corrosion problem in copper pipes. This action took place within the scope of WP2 – Proj. 10 ‘Development of components for domestic hot water heaters, in anticipation of the energy transition/electrification of the economy.’
