The 2024 Fall Meeting of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) took place from September 16 to 19, 2024 at the main campus of the University of Technology in Warsaw (Poland) and consisted of parallel symposia with invited speakers, oral and poster presentations assorted by one plenary session to provide an international forum for discussing recent advances in the field of materials science. The conference was augmented by an exhibition of products and services of interest to the conference participants.

Bruno Teixeira de Poças Falcão was presente with póster "Fluorescent Silica Nanoparticles as Optical Probes for Leakages Detection" from the authors G. Marques, S. O. Pereira, J. Rodrigues, A. R. F. Carreira, L. Rino, J. P. Leitão, e B. P. Falcão.
